Alex Walker
Owner & Founder
Originally from Englewood, Florida, Alex played Baseball for Augusta State University where he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology and Health Science.
After college Alex worked for Low Country Property Preservation in Savannah, GA as a project manager in remodeling & renovation until moving to Tampa, FL to work for Pulte Homes as a superintendent in new home construction.
From there he joined Discovery Builders as a superintendent and moved to the Bahamas to build custom luxury homes in Bakers Bay on Great Guana Cay.
He continued with Discovery Builders and transferred to Nashville to build custom luxury homes in the Troubadour Golf & Field Club.
While working at the Troubadour Alex started Brass Tacks Construction LLC, and with the help of skilled subcontractors started renovating and building homes in the greater Nashville area.
Matt Piloto
Project Manager & Partner
Originally from Englewood, Florida, Matt grew up working for his father’s flooring business.
Matt attended the University of Mount Union where he was a double major in Finance and Economics and a duel athlete, playing both Football and Basketball. As the quarterback of the football team, Matt lead the Purple Raiders to two NCAA Division 3 National Championship games.
After college, Matt became a law enforcement officer in his hometown where he excelled for 8 years. During his law enforcement career, Matt obtained the supervisor rank of Corporal and was a member of Road Patrol, Property Crimes Unit, Major Crimes / Homicide Unit, Technical Surveillance Unit, coordinator for the Child Abduction of Response Team, Undercover Narcotics Unit and the SWAT team where he specialized as a Sniper/Observer, Ballistic Shield Instructor and Dignitary Protection Instructor.
In 2022, Matt retired from law enforcement to fulfill his dream of living in Tennessee and joining his best friend’s construction company where he now serves as a Project Manager!
Matt Corcoran
Lead Project Manager
From Traverse City, Michigan, Matt Corcoran worked in residential construction for 20 years. He was foreman of a window, siding and roofing crew. He was the master carpenter for a framing and trim carpentry company.
Worked as a Foreman and Superintendent for Hallmark Construction in commercial construction for over 10 years before moving back to the residential field.
Matt has been a licensed residential builder in Michigan for over 20 years. He joined Discovery Builders in the Bahamas as a Superintendent working at the Bakers Bay development. He transfered with Discovery Builders to the Troubadour Golf and Field Club in middle Tennessee.
Matt has joined up with Brass Tacks Construction LLC renovating and building homes in the Nashville area.
